Archer Humphryes is delighted to announce that Rosewood Amsterdam, our landmark hospitality project, has been named Hotel of the Year at the AHEAD Awards 2025 for best conversion — one of the most esteemed honours in international hospitality design.

Presented annually by an expert jury of industry leaders, the AHEAD Awards recognise outstanding creativity, craftsmanship and innovation in global hospitality. Rosewood Amsterdam’s win further cements its status as a transformative example of adaptive restoration and world-class design.

The project came to life in close collaboration with Studio Piet Boon, CTF Amsterdam, Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, Kentie Architects, , Studio Sagrada, and Piet Oudolf.

AHEAD is one of the leading global awards programmes for hospitality design and experience. It celebrates projects across Asia, the Americas, the Middle East & Africa, and Europe. Each region is judged by respected industry experts who look at newbuilds, conversions, and standout spaces such as restaurants, bars, and spas.

Since its opening in May 2025, Rosewood Amsterdam has rapidly become a beacon of luxury travel. In addition to its AHEAD Award success, the hotel has been cited by major travel authorities among the most luxurious in the world, topping the Robb Report’s 2025 Top 50 Most Luxurious Hotels list — described by BookitList as “the most luxurious in the world” based on the insights of 26 elite travel experts.

Set within Amsterdam’s UNESCO-listed Canal District and housed in the historic former Palace of Justice, Rosewood Amsterdam blends the city’s rich heritage with contemporary sophistication. Its 134 exquisitely crafted rooms and suites, immersive art programme, and bespoke guest experiences reflect a singular vision of place-driven luxury.
